Center at the Lake

The Moneta Arts, Education and Community Center – better known as “Center at the Lake” – will be built adjacent to Sunset Cay.
With plans for a performance hall, outdoor amphitheater and stage, multifunctional hall with stage, administrative offices,

a gallery and a separate education building, the center will truly serve all

the arts needs of the Smith Mountain Lake community.

Preliminary drawings depict brick and stone buildings in a pastoral setting that sit beside The Shoppes at Sunset Cay

off Hendricks Store Road (Rt. 655).

The project, which will be built in three phases, will include master gardens as well as connection to Sunset Cay’s recreational network.
