The Shoppes at Sunset Cay Project Underway

Moneta, VA, May 15, 2008 – Sunset Cay, a comprehensive development off Rt. 122 in Bedford County, recently broke ground on the first phase of their Shoppes at Sunset Cay Towne Center. The Shoppes at Sunset Cay will feature 140,000 square feet of retail, commercial and professional space.

Phase One will be 20,000 square feet and include Envisions Distinctive Interiors, three restaurants including Smith Mountain Lake Smokehouse, Burgers & Dawgs, and Hadley’s Coffee House & Cafe, a realty office, and an exercise facility. With South Florida architecture and a casual island theme, the Shoppes will promote easy access for shoppers with ample parking (cars and golf carts.) Targeted completion date of Phase One is late August, 2008.

Jim Fields, Managing Partner of Sunset Cay, said The Shoppes will provide a one-stop location for local residents. “As Sunset Cay evolves, The Shoppes will be a great location for businesses geared to the local community as well as vacationers to Smith Mountain Lake,” said Fields.
